RCMP in Prince George handed out a total of 219 Motor Vehicle Act Violations during their holiday blitz, which wrapped up Tuesday.
Between November 30th and January 1st, RCMP pulled over more than 2 thousand drivers to check sobriety levels as part of their winter impaired driving enforcement campaign.
During this time, police uncovered 45 impaired drivers, including 28 which were issued immediate roadside prohibitions and 30 day vehicle impoundments.
Police also issued 69 speeding violations, and discovered 29 uninsured vehicles and 20 drivers without valid licenses.
Between now and February, RCMP in Prince George will begin targeting prohibited and suspended drivers at high collision intersections.
