British Columbians should be prepared to spend more in a few areas in 2019 as multiple industries will see price jumps.
Costs of food are expected to see a 3.5 percent jump this year, according to Canada’s Food Price Report, thought he cost of meat and seafood are expected to drop.
ICBC rates could wind up seeing a 6.3 percent rate increase, with an application currently being considered by the BC Utilities Commission.
Fortis BC natural gas customers will see a rate increase equivalent to 68 dollars for the year.
And, with the market in flux, property taxes are also expected to see an increase in the new year.
