Four large-scale public sector projects in Quesnel are hoping to acquire provincial and grant approval in 2019, according to Mayor Bob Simpson.
A new junior secondary school on Maple Drive, and emergency and intensive care additions to G.R. Baker Memorial Hospital are currently waiting on approval decisions from the province.
If approved, these projects could begin the early stages of construction by the end of 2019.
On top of those, grant applications for an Indigenous Culture Centre, and renovations to the Arts and Recreation Centre will be put forward next month.
These projects are in addition to a new public works facility, which is slated to begin construction in 2019 as well.
