One man was arrested following a drunken altercation with police in Terrace on Thursday.
RCMP were patrolling downtown when they came across two men consuming liquor in public.
When police tried to dispose of the liquor, one of the individuals lunged toward one of the officers, prompting his arrest.
Back up was eventually called when the man continued to be aggressive and attempted to resist arrest.
He was eventually detained and later released on a promise to appear in court after sobering up over night.
