A number of groups representing the diverse natural resource sectors in the Gitxsan Lax Yip have gathered in Hazelton today for Gitxsan 101.
Gitxsan 101 aims to educate various regional government officials on the structure, strategies, and processes used by the Nation in their resource management efforts.
The various watersheds within the Nation’s territories will be a key focus of the conference as the focal point of a number of presentations.
On top of resource management, the conference will also seek to better educate the officials on the history and culture of the Gitxsan people.
