Partnerships and collaborations will be the theme for the newest edition of Quesnel City Council, according to Mayor Bob Simpson.
While last council focused on economic planning, Simpson says this term will bring a complete transformation for the City.
In his statement, the mayor highlighted projects with the province which will work toward the approval of the connector, forestry sector improvements, and housing development, along with collaborations with Northern Health and local First Nations.
He also made note of the challenges facing this term, including: the re-invention of the City’s waste management system, capital investment challenges, and the community crime rate.
Overall, Simpson hopes this term will represent one of modernization that will turn Quesnel in to a destination community.
