Pope Road, just north of Kispiox, which had been closed for some time due to local wildfire activity has officially been reopened.
While heavy smoke will still be visible in the area, the BC Wildfire Service has determined that the actual fires in the area are no longer a threat to spread.
It is still recommended that pedestrians stay clear of the area, as there is still dwindling wildfire activity, as well as flame damaged terrain.
