For the first time in the Province’s history, BC has had the lowest unemployment rate in the country for an entire calendar year.
According to the August Labour Force Survey released today, British Columbia has the lowest unemployment rate of any province for the 12th consecutive month.
The report also revealed that the province also continues to pace the rest of the country in wage growth.
Minister of Jobs and Trade Bruce Ralston credits a growing, expanding labour force, and the province’s economy finally working for the people sustainably.
