Quesnel RCMP are investigating an early-morning shooting that left two men wounded.
Police were called to a report of shots fired in the 900 block of Abbott Drive at 4:30 this (Thursday) morning and found evidence of a shooting.
Shortly after, officers found a vehicle parked on Doherty Drive believed to be involved in the incident. Officers found two men suffering from gunshot wounds at a neighbouring apartment building.
Both were taken to hospital with what appear to be non life-threatening injuries.
The North District Emergency Response Team, Police Dog Services from Prince George, as well as a Forensic Identification Team from Williams Lake are assisting with the investigation, but police don’t think the general public is at risk at this time.
