Some residents on the north shore of Fraser Lake will be able to go home.
The Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako has partially rescinded an evacuation order related to the Shovel Lake wildfire.
The area downgraded to an evacuation alert includes the north shore of Fraser Lake from east of the Stella Forest Service Road to the
properties on the east side of Petersen Road.
An evacuation order remains in effect from north of the alert area on the north shore of Fraser Lake to south of the Camsell FSR-Cunningham FSR Junction and Cunningham FSR- Marie North FSR Junction. East of the centre of Taltapin Lake to west of Dog Creek FSR.
The region is still off limits to the general public as an Area Order Restriction remains in place.
The restriction will remain in place until noon on Sept. 15, 2018, or until the order is rescinded.
