Evacuees from Lower Post are begging wildfire crews to let them return home to assist in firefighting efforts.
The town was evacuated earlier in the week after the Lutz Creek Fire hopped the Liard River and began threatening buildings.
To date, at least 3 structures have suffered confirmed damage due to the now 6 thousand hectare blaze, which the BC Wildfire Service lists at 0 percent contained.
Many of the evacuees are saying that they are experienced firefighters and don’t want to wait the quoted time of up to a week in Watson Lake before returning home.
