Researchers at the University of British Columbia may have made a breakthrough in the world of blood transfusions.
Researchers believe they have found a method, using human gut enzymes, to transform all types of blood in to the universally usable Type-O.
The discovery could disregard the need to use matching blood types for fear of immune ractions rejecting the blood during transfusions.
According to UBC, pending further research, the process could be ready for use in the medical field in as little as five years.
