The Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako has once again expanded the evacuation alert area associated with the Shovel Lake Wildfire.
The expanded evacuation alert is in effect for the area east of the Augier Main Forest Service Road to the Sutherland Forest
Service Road and South shore of Stuart Lake to Lind Lake Pit Road and Grant Road. And South of Sutherland River to Highway 16, not including the town site of Endako or the North Shore of Fraser Lake.
The BC Wildfire Service says growth on the blaze burning approximately 30 km northeast of Burns Lake reached 15,000 hectares by Thursday afternoon.
