The Foundation claims that the open net fishing style poses biological risks to wild salmon and the switch could help manage desease transfer.
On top of this, directors are calling for an improved risk assessment system for wild salmon.
The Foundation is dedicated to the expressed goal of restoring and conserving wild salmon habitats in BC.
