Greenbelt Microgreens
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has issued a recall for a slew of vegetable products sold in BC.
19 different products sold by Greenbelt Microgreens are the subject of the recall after being linked to Listeria contamination.
Though no diseases have been directly linked to the products so far, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention says the infected food could cause fevers, diarrhea, food poisoning, and serious complications for pregnant women.
Recalled products cover 75 gram to 454 gram packages of argula, broccoli, peas, sunflower and wheatgrass microgreens, and vegetable mixes.
According to the Agency, Greenbelt initiated the recall themselves.

Traditional Medicinals
A medicinal tea sold across BC could be causing rather than relieving health issues.
A potential salmonella contamination has forced the recall of a large amount of Traditional Medicinals’ Throat Coat Lemon Echinacea (EK-in-Eh-See-Ah) herbal tea.
The contamination is especially dangerous to pregnant women, the elderly, and those with weakened immune systems.
The affected batch is lot number 19 and has an expiry of February 2021.
