Environment Canada has issued a a number of warnings as the latest batch of winter weather makes its way into the Northwest.
Forecasters say a series of storms moving onto the North Coast Tuesday will bring a long period of snow to Terrace, Stewart, and Kitimat.
Total snowfall amounts by Wednesday afternoon are forecast to be between 15 and 25 cm.
The weather office has also issued a winter storm warning for the Bulkley Valley and the Lakes District, including Burns lake, along with Prince George, and the Cariboo.
Intense snow is expected to hit the regions with of 30 to 50 cm expected by Wednesday night.
Forecasters expect the rapidly accumulating snow will make travel difficult and road closures are possible.
